Since the Middle Ages saffron was produced in a lot of farmhouses, including the one of the Fanti family and it has always been a fragrant and precious ingredient of the tradition.

Filippo remembers it very well: his auntie Lisina used to harvest saffron to prepare him his favourite local dishes.
