Chestnut Honey

The territory of Montalcino in addition to vineyards and olive groves is characterized by vast and important chestnut groves, some of which are owned by the Fanti family.

This honey is obtained from the colorful flowers of the chestnut tree and, unlike many other honeys, its nectar has a dark amber color and an intense, aromatic and woody aroma.

It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties superior to the more delicate honey varieties.

The complex and decisive flavor and the light bitter aftertaste make it a tasty combination with aged and savory cheese.
